I want to run this campaign in a way which gives opportunities to the next generation of Gedling Labour. In this high-profile campaign, I want to help people build their skillset to become to activists, campaigners, and representatives for years to come. Working with schools and current Labour Party members, I want to give people experiences:
- Public speaking – I want to hear your voice on stage with me
- Working with the media – contacting journalists to arrange interviews, working on press releases, contributing in interviews
- Shooting campaign videos which really win votes
- Campaign strategizing – what do you think we need to do to appeal to different voters
- Social media content – how to gain traction
Helping new people get the opportunities is important to me, and that’s why I am delivering sessions on the candidate selection process to Labour Women’s Network, and why I am setting up a mentoring scheme for Labour activists in Tory safe seats to help disseminate information on how to lead high-impact campaigns.
