To stand as your candidate, I have to make a commitment to you as to what you can expect from me. This isn’t about my policies, it is about meeting your job description. Most importantly, my pledge is to give this campaign everything I’ve got, which is why, if selected as your candidate, I will be moving straight back to Gedling. I also pledge to:
1. Listen to all members and consult widely on strategies.
2. Involve people who want to be candidates for council positions or MPs in the campaign and give them the hands on experience to excel.
3. Stay on top of research about the most efficient ways to reach voters – from targeted Facebook advertising to local radio appearances – and learn from recent by-elections and council elections.
4. Work in partnership with other local marginals – we can help Mansfield boot out Ben Bradley and they can help us give Tom Randall his P45.
5. Campaign every. Single. Day. Monday to Sunday, I will be knocking doors or calling numbers. I’ll be the hardest working candidate.
